Senior Choir 2016

2015    2014    2013   2012    2011    2010    2009    2008    2007    2006    2005

Our Senior Choir offers students in years 6/7 the following opportunities;

  • To perform at the Adelaide Festival of Music at Festival Theatre in September.
  • To be members of a team. The students cooperate to sing varied choral arrangements including rounds, parts, unison, rap and partner works.
  • To learn how to effectively use voice to produce a quality sound. The students participate in warm-ups at each choir session, voice projection, pitch, timing, breathing and posture.
  • To perform for a variety of audiences.
  • To have fun. The students participate in the selection of songs and use their own ideas for various choral arrangements.

In term one all Year 6/7  students attend choir sessions for three weeks and then decide if Choir is for them. The decision made at this time is binding until the end of Term 2 when students can opt out and other students join for the remaining two terms.
Barb Williams is the leader of the Senior Choir and J Bennett accompanies on the piano.

Middle Choir

Middle Choir is lots of fun.
Boys and girls in year 4 & 5 can join the choir
We sing many different types of songs: old songs, songs from TV and stage shows, Australian songs and songs from overseas, jazz rock 'n roll, folk songs.... just about anything.
We sing altogether, in groups, in parts and in rounds. Sometimes, children who want to can sing solo or in a small group. We perform for other people, at school assemblies, at special events like open nights and the Music night, and for community groups like the senior Citizens.
Middle Choir is once a week for 45 minutes.
Sometimes before a performance we might have a special practice before school or at lunch time.
Ms Vicki Gregory is the teacher of the Middle Choir.
